At this year’s IBPA (International Bullying Prevention Association) National Conference, After School VP Jeff Collins will join 800 attendees and speakers to discuss and collaborate on bullying prevention. This will be the 14th annual IBPA National Conference, and will take place November 5-7 in Nashville, Tennessee. Attendees will include school counselors, educators and administration along with technology leaders, organizations and safety experts.
Collins will join iCanHelpline.org’s Anne Collier and #ICANHELP’s Matt Soeth in a workshop session titled, “How Social Media, Organizations, and Schools can Collaborate to Prevent Bullying.” The three will talk to attendees about cyberbullying and what’s currently being done to stop it, along with sharing how companies, schools, and organizations are collaborating to protect students from being bullied online. The presentation will include a case study and an open Q&A.
Collins will also participate in the event’s Social Media Panel, which will include representatives from social media companies ASKfm, Yellow, Brighten, and Kik. Each panelist will describe their app, insights about how young people are using their network, their challenges as a company, and how they work with schools.
