Change 💩’s voter registration initiative includes an in-app prompt using an emoji. After the 💩 emoji is tapped, a student is presented with the message “Help Change 💩.” The next screen is an image of President Trump, and an option for users to state whether they currently approve or disapprove of the President. After selecting either option, the message “You Can Change 💩 By Voting” appears along with a button to click if interested in registering to vote. If a user clicks on “Show Me How,” they will then receive two text messages:

  1. The first short text provides a link to the and After School voter registration page.
  2. A large percentage of After School users are under 18. For youth not yet old enough to register to vote, the second text helps them share voting information with their family and friends.
